Position Overview:
As a member of KaVo Kerr’s Marketing Analytics Team, the Marketing Data Scientist will play a key role generating actionable insights that drive strategic and tactical commercial actions. Additionally, this position will help build predictive analytics capabilities within the team. This role is based in Orange County, CA. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Modelling & Predictive Analytics:
  • Utilize advanced statistical modeling to build Predictive models on Customer Churn, Customer Segmentation, Customer Retention, Customer Targeting for Lead Generation/Acquisition & ROI.
  • Marketing Forecast development - Analyze all available existing data sets to determine which variables are more predictive of marketing awareness building and lead generation performance.
  • Perform A/B test analysis and present test results and recommendations.
  • Experience with mining and modeling large data sets and applying advanced analytics methods for end user clustering and segmentation is required.
  • Analyze transaction data to identify purchase triggers and indicators for future value customers in support of predictive / forward looking marketing campaigns.
Marketing Analytics- Lead Gen & Programs’ Evaluation, Category Support
  • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and tactics by measuring and tracking metrics such as CTR, conversion rates, open rates, pull through and ROI.
  • Analyze Dealer Program /Prof Ed effectiveness and communicate ROI to broader team to optimize spend across portfolio.
  • Assist Category managers to measure, track KPIs and provide deeper analytics support by identifying opportunities/campaigns/programs to drive revenue growth.
  • Perform analytics related to customer purchasing, engagement, LTV and lifecycle behavior as needed.
  • Identification of opportunities for process improvement and innovative solutions to marketing analytics challenges; Other duties as assigned.
  • Must work well with multi-functional work teams and be willing to take initiatives.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to balance detail and holistic, strategic perspective of business.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively in a team environment.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Marketing, Computer Science, Mathematics, Management or related discipline..
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing standard statistical tools like - R, or Python or SAS or Rapid miner.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience using Data Visualization Tools like- Tableau or Qlikview
  • Minimum of 1 + years of Intermediate SQL experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of Analytics experience working in a Marketing or Sales team.
  • Must be willing to be “Show & Tell”/ Tested on Predictive Modelling examples around Customer Churn, Customer Retention, Customer Targeting for Lead Generation/Acquisition during the interview process.
  • Ability to create reports and dashboard views to track Commercial team KPIs
