  • Event planning in detail, ensuring that all aspects are handled for tradeshows, working closely together with marketing manager and product management team for large conferences (approx 3-5/year), and smaller tradeshows (35-40/year): responsibilities include logistics, booth layout, graphics, event gripstock
  • Development and implementation of trade show marketing strategies per the collaboration and approval of the Head of Marketing, and in alignment with marketing and sales strategies.
  • Collaboration with Regional Managers, various Internal Departments & Headquarters on additional needs relating to tradeshow events in Canada.
  • Responsible for working with Regional Managers to staff all events.
  • Responsible for establishing key metrics and measuring event ROI.
  • Managing CVM event database: enter marketing campaigns, responsible for event lead generation and management, nuruting and follow-up of leads generated.
  • Maintain relationships with key associations and negotiate corporate support agreements. 
  • Disseminate pertinent event information from the marketing department to all internal and external channels,  including but not limited to, sales, marketing, and customer support.
  • Responsible to ensure that projects/activities remain within the allotted Marketing BEX account ensuring inter-departmental adherence to budgetary guidelines. 
  • Work with and collaborate with US departments on North American Symposiums.
Secondary Level Support:

  • Work with Training Center coordinator to facilitate local programs in the Richmond Hill facility.
  • Work with Training and Education department to plan, organize and execute training programs, as well as collaborate in generation, and nurturing of, marketing qualified leads.
  • Responsible for print and media advertisement plan, with particular focus on launches and campaigns.

Job Requirements


Critical Knowledge and Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years experience in events and meeting planning
  • Previous experience working in the medical device industry preferred
  • Bilingual (French)
Critical Skills/technical know-how:
  • Excellent computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • A proven track record in strong negotiation skills with organizations, vendors, hotels, and convention centers 
  • CVM event management
Critical Experience:
  • Very strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and consistent ability to adhere to timelines
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment, with proven experience interacting with and managing large groups of Medical professionals, as well as small groups
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently
