Description

We are seeking an experienced Market Research Data Analyst to help advance our journey of turning data into information. The Market Research Data Analyst is a strategic position within the Beckman Coulter Particle Characterization and Centrifugation team. S/he will be part of a fast paced team, working in a collaborative cross-functional and global environment that will drive growth and innovation within the BEC PCC business unit.  S/he should be a pro-active problem solver and critical thinker. 



The purpose of this position is to support the Global Marketing team by developing and managing financial, market and sales reports. S/he will work closely with Marketing Managers and subject matter experts throughout the organization to develop solutions and manage data that help drive revenue growth.


 


Essential Job Functions



  • Interpret & analyze various business area data in order to create meaningful data marts, dashboards & reporting both at a detailed and executive level

  • Develop, implement and optimize data management processes to design elegant reporting and analytics solutions

  • Identify opportunities to phase out dependencies on legacy databases, processes and reporting tools

  • Partner with business globally and cross-departmentally to assist with gathering business requirements

  • Develop schedules to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met

  • Assist with design, development, testing and maintenance of various data projects

  • Provide training, mentoring and end-user support for reporting tools

  • Other duties and ad hoc financial analyses & preparations as assigned

  • Learn/use Danaher tools to streamline/improve efficiencies

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge And Skill Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3+ years’ experience in a business intelligence, finance, marketing analyst or similar role

Preferred Skills



  • Excellent background in Data Warehousing concepts, Dimensional Modeling

  • Strong MS Office, XLS and Access knowledge

  • Experience in data extraction, transformation and cleansing

  • The ability to work with global teams to define data models and conform data definitions

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Analytical, critical thinker that can see the bigger picture

  • Excellent cross-system, cross-functional troubleshooting skills

  • Superior multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, often deadline-oriented and dynamic environment
