Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

•         Manages initiatives to gain reimbursement and funding, enabling and facilitate market entry of Cepheid’s disruptive innovative assays according to Cepheid’s strategic goals

•         Creates network with relevant stakeholder groups influencing funding and reimbursement to optimize market penetration

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•         Manages all market access-related activities

•         Identifies and prepares steps to obtain value-based reimbursement for Cepheid’s innovative and high medical value offer

•         Builds relationships with policy makers, payors, influencers and relevant MoH and Government working groups and committees

•         Work in close alignment with regional business management, especially exchanging information with regards to business opportunity and targeting

•         Validates value messages together with (and for) different stakeholder groups

•         Develops national market access plans supporting value pricing and reimbursement based on central GAMA strategic MA plan and executes on these initiatives

•         Identifies regionally-specific medical and economic value evidence requirements

•         Supports Medical/Scientific Affairs in identifying and recruiting appropriate study and prospective customer sites

•         Reporting on national health care priorities, market trends and policy changes back to management as input for continuous updates to the European MA strategic plan

 

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

•         Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time


Job Requirements



Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education and Experience (in years): 

•         Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related work experience OR

•         Master's degree in field with 6+ years of related work experience

•         5 years of relevant local professional experience in market access

•         Ability to work autonomously and as part of an international team

Knowledge and skills: 

•         Excellent understanding of regional funding and reimbursement pathways

•         Proven track record in achieving reimbursement for innovation in the Clinical Diagnostics Marketplace: IVDs and/or Medical Devices

•         Having worked in the field of oncology

•         Masters the English language

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

•         An existing KOL stakeholder network is a plus (urologists, gynaecologists and/or hemato-oncologists)
