Manufacturing Technician - 1 year contract - Concord, ON 
  • Provide precision mechanical assembly and inspection support; 
  • Performing incoming inspection of parts through visual inspections and operation of precision measurement equipment to verify parts against drawing specifications.
  • Assembling, installing, calibrating, adjusting and operating complex assemblies, instruments and equipment, following detailed procedures. 
  • Work in a restricted environment under DEFINED conditions, observing cleanliness standards, with an emphasis on strong organizational skills.
  • Monitor vendor processes using standard SPC techniques.
  • Assisting engineers, scientists and other technical workers by providing assembly, inspection, and cleaning support.
  • Specific activities include mass filter, RF detector, and collision cell assemblies;
  • Assembly of components will be performed with high regard to accuracy, following detailed work instructions, and standard clean room practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including Device History Records in accordance with FDA requirements.
  • Maintain and operate ultrasonic cleaning systems.

Job Requirements


  • A graduate of an Institute of Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience is required.
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in precision assembly is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts is an asset.
  • Familiarity with vacuum system cleaning processes and clean room practices is required.
  • Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings, detail part drawings, and instructions as well as test procedures and bills of materials is required.
  • Demonstrated experience of basic soldering skills is required.

  • Communicate effectively verbal and written within a multidisciplinary product development environment
  • Work seamlessly with people in a multidisciplinary precision assembly environment and coordinate activities within the team.
