Description

The LS Reagent and Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for the value assignment process of Life Science reagents and consumable kits manufactured at Beckman Coulter Reagent Operations in Carlsbad, CA.  This role is critical to CE and Bio-pharma Business unit in terms of maintaining on time delivery of quality products to customers.  We are looking for a talented individual with the ability to coordinate multiple cross-functional teams.

  • Daily activities for this role include:
  • Coordinate hiring, training, developing and coaching activities for all direct reports to maximize individual potential.
  • Coordinate Value Assignment team with other cross-functional departments to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery of chemistry reagents and consumables.
  • Escalate emergencies for example, a safety, quality or a customer problem to higher management for direction and immediate resolution.
  • Provide routine reports and activity updates to management.
  • Share company updates, financial results and new objectives with team members.
  • Lead/facilitate daily management to resolve day-to-day issues of manufacturing
  • Ensure overall GMP is followed on the manufacturing floor
  • Maintain laboratory equipment in validated and calibrated stage
  • Coordinate validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) and act as process owner.
  • Ensure segregation of noncompliant material, generation and timely closure of nonconformance report (NCR) by coordination with  material review board
  • Develop and build upon continuous improvement culture by reducing & eliminating waste while driving process efficiency through the Danaher Business System (DBS).
  • Write purchase requisitions and manage first approval of requisitions
  • Ability to work with hazardous chemicals
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or related applicable field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a related lab environment with at least 1 year leadership or team lead experience.
  • Fluent in English, spoken, written, reading.
  • Past working experience and knowledge of FDA regulated working environments is highly desired.
  • Strong basic computer skills and experience with the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • The successful candidate will have a natural affinity to detail and process accuracy.
  • Team player but also able to work independently when required
  • Desire to perform quality, error free value assignment analysis with the ability to create and follow step by step procedures
  • Able to form strong relationships with the leadership team and peers to help ensure a healthy and productive working environment.


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work at a computer for occasional long periods at a time
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
  • Ability to stand for more than 4 hrs.
