The Manufacturing Engineer will develop and implement cost-effective lean processes for assembling and testing products in manufacturing, work closely with cross functional teams in production, service, product development, and with our suppliers to drive continuous improvements in current processes and products to meet Global Quality Metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support production team in driving internal process/quality improvements, supplier quality improvements, and engineering change orders
  • Act as NPI Engineer when applicable for new product launches transferring into production
  • Utilize effective problem solving techniques to define problems, determine root causes, verify and implement countermeasures, and sustain results in electromechanical and optical systems
  • Drive product quality improvement through process development and design changes internally and with suppliers
  • Learn and utilize knowledge of lean tools such as Standardized Work, PSP, Waste Elimination in driving process improvements to improve process efficiencies
  • Support daily production relative to build (process) and quality issues
  • Support evaluation and implementation of Engineering Changes
  • Drive quality and manufacturability into new product designs, and lead activities to transfer new products into production

Job Requirements


  • B.S. in Engineering or related experience in the field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing role
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams as well as independently
  • Creative thinker with excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Driven individual with passion for improving quality of products
  • Hands on experience troubleshooting defects
  • Experience driving quality improvements with suppliers
