Description

Selected candidate will have a firm grasp on business level data analytics and informatics used in a healthcare setting. As a critical team member you will perform research and investigation of business systems and problems using qualitative and quantitative skills and methods. You will interpret and analyze clinical data from various sources and assist team members in identifying potential areas of opportunity regarding continuous improvement; largely focused on the laboratory environment and improving the value that the laboratory brings to a health system enterprise. 

As a subject matter expert, you will provide management with analytics, statistical findings and conclusions that will guide improvement strategies internally and externally regarding identified key performance indicators. Candidate will work with appropriate leadership and associate level teams to obtain buy-in from internal project sponsor(s) and technical lead(s) regarding next steps suggestions for customers based on data analytics. Own end-to-end reporting and analytics processes and ensures accurate and timely completion of identified deliverables.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and refine ongoing strategy needed to support Performance Partnership (PP) assessments.   Works hand in hand with the PP Principals and PP Senior Manager, Discovery, in order to evolve and optimize assessment process.  
  • Assist with the design of internal processes and standard work that will facilitate utilizing analytics to identify baseline opportunities and communicate improvement needs internally and externally to C-Suite customers in both technical and non-technical manner.
  • Consult with PP Senior Manager, Delivery, on analytics systems, methodologies and analyst needs for the delivery team.
  • Support client enterprise level projects as defined by strategic plans. 
  • Design, produce and support development of clinical dashboards and key performance indicator informatics and reports to meet customer requirements. 
  • Identify industry trends and incorporate trend analysis data and results into forecasting processes and reporting.
  • Identify and implement appropriate analytic approaches and methodologies to aggregate key business problems found in clients, and use for future product development needs.  
  • Work with the Global Director, Performance Partnership to develop a strategy to scale the PP Analytics team, including a hiring and onboarding plan for potential new direct reports to this role.
  • Translate collected data into detailed reports that provide recommendations for maximizing BCI customer impact on concerns such as reducing the total cost of care, value creation, value-based reimbursement and population health. 
  • Develop full understanding of clinical programs being measured that intersect with the Performance Partnership program. Work with Beckman and customer clinical teams to identify areas of opportunity to drive performance of programs; develop conclusions and recommendations.  
  • Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.   Work with business partners of Danaher in the fields of IT, Predictive Analytics, AI and Operations.
  • Work with third parties as part of a business development effort to bring in new innovative technologies to enhance intellectual property and expand the tool kit.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, economics, statistics, or related field
  • Five (5) or more years of prior experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a health care environment.
  • Firm grasp on using data and analytics to facilitate discovery, enlightenment and improvement. 
  • Two (2) or more years with leadership experience, or demonstration of competencies necessary to lead people.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation and collaboration skills
  • Proficient with standard business analysis, business process definition and project management concepts and tools. 
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Desirable Capabilities
  • MBA
  • Experience in consulting industry
  • Experience working in business development environments and/or with BD concepts
  • Experience in the primary and secondary hospital information systems (EMR and LIS).
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt a plus
  • Financial analysis and modeling experience a plus
