The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for managing and leading all Manufacturing Engineering activities. You will drive effective and efficient support of existing products and the launch of new products into Manufacturing and provides first level troubleshooting and technical leadership for support of day-to-day production issues. You'll be instrumental in the execution of design, validation and continuous improvement of all manufacturing processes.

Major Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products
  • Ensure the effective use of personnel, materials and equipment to produce quality products at minimum costs
  • Drive continuous improvement activities utilizing engineering and lean manufacturing principles and tools
  • Work closely with product development to ensure timely and complete manufacturing transfer and scale up
  • Lead the on-time and on-budget execution of manufacturing and process engineering projects and activities that reduce safety risks, improve product quality, production flow and efficiency, enhance delivery capabilities and support cost improvements
  • Recruit, develop, engage and retain top tier talent and improve capabilities of the organization to meet current and future business needs
  • Provide support for supplier qualification

Job Requirements


  • Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline (BS with 9+ years of experience, MS with 7+ years of experience)
  • 5+ years of experience developing and managing high performing individual contributors and teams
  • Understands industry best practices and concepts and able to leverage for continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex operational and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, and gain commitment at all levels in the organization
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Hands-on experience using lean manufacturing and/or a business system to deliver results
  • Extensive PC skills – proficient in MS Office, CAD, etc.
  • Experience building teams and promoting collaboration
  • Experience implementing and using production statistics
  • Demonstrated project planning, management and technical leadership to successfully manage multiple priorities across activities and projects
  • Willingness to spend a significant amount of time on the manufacturing floor to understand opportunities and develop methods for improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
  • Leads by example and motivates personnel by creating a challenging, empowering, and collaborative work environment
  • High level of personal initiative and accountability – consistently delivers on commitments
  • Utilizes logic and rigorous problem solving to achieve stretch goals
  • Trusted advisor who uses sound judgement and demonstrates humility and self-awareness
