Description

  • POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Manager, Human Resources provides HR leadership and partnership to our Lodi associate population. Develop and implement HR initiatives focused on achieving business objectives both locally and aligned with the objectives of the global Operations organization. This position is hands-on and tactical to provide human resources expertise in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, employee retention, coaching/development, and more.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Advise, influence and guide all levels of leadership on the HR implications of business strategies and all aspects of people-management and leadership.
    • Partner with HR colleagues and business leadership in organizational assessment and diagnosis to translate business strategies into actions that deliver results and improve organizational capability
    • Coach and develop direct reports to drive engagement, succession planning and career development
    • Resolve employee relations issues and conduct investigations when appropriate through a systematic approach with clear documentation and follow through
    • Anticipate the need for change and influence change before a crisis or inflection point arrives. Lead change management efforts
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to provide strategic staffing and recruitment consultation. May assist in identifying, interviewing and selecting qualified candidates for senior/critical positions.
    • Execute the rollout of ongoing Talent Programs around performance management, organization and talent assessment, engagement and more.
    • Develop and manage communications for client group regarding organizational changes, employment-related news, and HR-related programs and updates.
    • Partner with Compensation and HR leadership on recommendations for client group on compensation changes, job creation/leveling for roles, review of relevant market data, promotions, etc.

Qualifications

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Education or Experience (in years):
    • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, or Business Administration

    Knowledge and skills:
    • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, etc., which govern employment policies and practices
    • Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards
    • Excellent planning and organization skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator
    • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
    • Limited supervision and direction is provided, as this individual can operate and drive results and set priorities independently
    • Working knowledge of MS Office
    • Experience working with HR database
    • Strong business and compensation acumen

    Physical requirements/abilities:
    • Ability to work in an office environment
    • Monthly travel to Sunnyvale headquarters

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
    • MBA or Advanced Degree
    • PHR/SPHR
    • Experience in a Manufacturing environment
    Willingness to relocate
