Purpose of Role

The newly created Center of Excellence (CoE) for Advanced Filter Cleaning for Microelectronics in Tsukuba needs a technical leader for the development of Advanced Cleaning processes for filters used in next generation semiconductor technology development at our customers. This individual will also lead the activity at Taiwan R&D lab, interacts with customers to develop processes and infrastructure that meets aggressive cleanliness requirements in semiconductor industry, especially in Photolithography and Wet-Etch & Clean applications.

Key Responsibilities

•        Leads a team of scientists with technical and strategic leadership to nurture and build state-of-the-art advanced filter cleaning team in Tsukuba for Pall Microelectronics

•        Develops technology road-map for Advanced Filter Cleaning processes for Pall Microelectronics

•        Manages R&D scientists & engineers who are specialists in Cleaning processes and prioritizes resources based on business needs with alignment with product roadmaps.

•        Works closely with Pall Microelectronics Marketing group and external customers to understand VOC and develops strategy to be best in class.

•        Ability to transfer developed technologies to Technology Transfer teams is a Must.

•        Plans budget for capex and project expenses.

•        Works with Test Laboratories to identify test protocols and quality performance criteria.

•        Proficiency in Project Management and Design of Experiments (DOE) is desirable.

Job Requirements


Required Experience/Qualifications

The successful candidate will have an advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science/Engineering or any relevant discipline with at least Ten years of experience in developing advanced cleaning chemistries/processes. Experience or exposure to Semiconductor fabrication, advanced cleaning chemistry/technologies and understanding of cleanliness requirements in Advanced semiconductor processing for Photolithography and cleans is highly preferred. Team player with experience in managing a group of R&D scientists and excellent oral/written communication skills are a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Power Point required. Work experience in the Semiconductor fabrication/process engineering is a plus. Fluency in Japanese and communication skills in English are required.
