Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Lab Tech I SPE is responsible for manufacturing SPE tubes and well plates; will require excellent organization, good time management, and attention to detail.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Pack different sorbents in SPE tubes and well plates
a. Techniques include hand-packing, and either machine packing or well plates
2. Follow written instructions (SOP) for all critical processes.
3. Follow all Safety procedures, including wearing appropriate protective equipment.
4. Prepare sorbent and packing station tools according to written instructions.
5. Material verification and inspection
6. Schedule time efficiently to complete work orders in order of priority.
7. Data entry in AX computer system
8. Keep all work areas, equipment, and tools neat, clean, and organized.
9. Maintain and repair the equipment as needed.
10. Transfer completed tubes/well plates, with documentation, to QA department for inspection

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Typically less than 2 years of experience
• Associates Degree or Other Certification preferred.
• Ensures all work is accurate and free of errors / defects
• Requires analytical thinking and problem solving
• Attention to detail, pay specific attention to tasks
• Strong organizational skill, plans and assigns resources in a detailed fashion
