Description

We are currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager to join our Diagnostic Sales team in the Netherlands.  As the successful candidate, the purpose of your role will be to promote Beckman Coulter Diagnostic products to acquire and retain key customers with your assigned territory.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial Management (Netherlands & Nordics), you will be responsible for achieving, or exceeding, assigned sales numbers by driving revenue derived from instrument placements, reagent orders and service revenue. 

The role acts as the primary customer facing Company representative to both internal customers (General Manager, Service Manager, Tender Project Manager, Application Support and Finance) and our external customers (predominantly Blood Sciences Laboratory personnel, Laboratory Managers, C-Suite Executives, Private Sector Commercial Laboratories). 

The ideal candidate is proactive, results oriented with a passion for overachieving on sales goals in a fast-paced environment

Roles & Responsibilities

• Set, lead and execute the agreed sales strategy to achieve market share gain within the territory. Be the primary contact for customers and engage with them to ensure business opportunities are maximised – both retention and competitor accounts.
• Arrange and execute contract review meetings to include presenting complex financial data
• Work to annually updated financial targets
• Expert-level management of the sales cycle and adhoc sales opportunities 
• Build a strong understanding of Beckman Coulter Netherlands Diagnostics market
• Monitor and report on competitor and market place trends to allow rapid reaction to market movements
• Ensure retention rate is maintained for current customers
• Initiate and maintain contacts with recognised key opinion leaders
• Actively maintain existing business base through account management and promotion of products, working with key internal and external customers
• Actively seek opportunities to convert competitor business
• Present action plans at regular intervals to the Netherlands management team
• Ensure the sales process is on track at all times in line with the Company's requirements at sales stage
• Promote the 'Voice of the Customer' survey to meet customer satisfaction metrics
• Work in alignment with CRM reporting policy
• Accurate funnel management using the salesforce.com CRM system.

Skills & Experience

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: 
• Consistent track record in meeting and exceeding targets
• Experience in direct selling in a comparable field or complex medical environment
• A forward-thinking mindset and excellent attention to detail
• Outstanding planning and organization skills with evidence of creation and execution of successful strategic account plans
• Experience in tender management with multiple examples of successfully leading/ project-managing a complex tender response
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
• BSc or equivalent qualification in a scientific subject or significant experience in a similar role
• An understanding of the diagnostic market in a hospital environment
• A consistent successful record in sales and solution selling, preferably in a hospital environment
• Knowledge and understanding of business management systems, including excel, word, PowerPoint and CRM tools
• Fluent Dutch and proficient English (verbal and written).
• Dutch driving license.
