Today, Leica’s Applied Business is serving customers in almost any industrial vertical with imaging and measurement solutions for almost any sample type. The value for the customer is created through delivering new insights and discoveries in customer’s applications (“outcome”) or by providing insights in a more efficient manner throughout customer’s workflows (less labor intense, faster, more reliable) manner (“procedural efficiency)”.

The Product Manager digital workflows is responsible for the success and growth of the respective existing portfolio of LMS products and for the development of future products addressing digital microscopy workflows in industry and academia. This includes planning, management and execution all through the Product Life Cycle and NPI process in close interaction with the relevant functions within LMS. Additionally, there is a strong focus to manage complexity, initiate VAVE actions and support cost efficiency.

Special focus lies in the evaluation of new technologies, the development of digital solutions for new technologies and incorporating them in current product developments-  based on todays and future imaging and measurement application needs and defines a competitive hard- and software platform for industrial applications.

Job Requirements


Professional Experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in product management, business development and/or sales and service role in a relevant high-tech industry
  • > 3 years of working in international environments, esp. with stakeholders in APAC highly desired
  • Proven track record in product planning, defining and launching successful products, unifying product portfolios and drive the commercialization of products
  • Relevant and repeated successes in leading innovation projects and implementing Digital Solutions in products of the Measurement or Quality Assurance area
  • Demonstrated success in leading innovation projects, launch and commercialization of products
  • first experience in strategy development as well as definition and evaluation of complex business cases

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or business administration
  • Specialization in digital, SW, Innovation processes a plus
  • Expert in Metrology applications

  • Excellent English (spoken & written)
  • German desirable (spoken & written)
  • other languages (is a plus)
