Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The International Demand Planner is responsible to manage the workload associated with forecast consolidation and coordinating availability of all types of finished goods inventory for Cepheid’s international distribution locations. Oversee and drive distribution center product planning for all of Cepheid manufactured and procured materials. The ideal candidate must be able to adapt to high growth and dynamic market requirements. Also participates in continuous process improvements in the frame of Global established guidelines and objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demand Planning for finished goods including reagent consumables and instruments
• Responsible for gathering forecast from responsible departments and providing direct input towards global forecasted volumes by item ensuring data is updated and communicated locally and globally
• Ability to work with global resources in multiple time zones, participation in remote meetings
• Responsible for identifying exceptions requiring recovery countermeasures to prevent supply shortages
• Providing information and investigations to global functions on Excess & obsolete (E & O)
• Responsible for Replenishment planning of existing and new products as well as products transitions
• Engagement in Quality systems and related documentation management: ensure that processes and procedures are updated and communicated cross-functionally

• Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):
• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related work experience OR
• Master’s degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience.
• Work experience in Demand Planning/Replenishment in International environment - preferably in Life Sciences industry – and Purchase Ordering/Supplier Performance monitoring

Knowledge and skills:
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to convey communications clearly and concisely. Must be fluent in English
• Strong SAP experience is required – SFDC experience appreciated
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel is a must) and business management software
• Capable of managing multiple, high-priority assignments
• Ability to participate in projects effectively and meet firm deadlines
• Analytical skills to interpret data for reports and apply mathematic techniques in practical situations
• Good understanding of Global Supply Chain and complex Organizational company structure
• Customer Oriented approach in Problem Solving
