This fulltime temporary internship position for the summer and fall semester (June - December 2019) will, under the direct supervision and mentoring of the Global Manager, Process Engineering, follow established procedures to assist in the following areas:

  • Organize available data sets for reference and testing
  • Support screening tests and design of experiment exercises for process optimization
  • Collect operational data sets from water treatment plants
  • Recommend changes to data content or structure to facilitate reference and testing activities
  • Help develop and run tests of theories against real world data sets
  • Run statistical analysis of test results

The successful candidate must:

  • Be actively working towards a BS Degree or higher in a Math, Science, or Engineering discipline that relates to the work.
  • Be in good standing with the University.
  • Have strong statistical analysis and database management skills.
  • Have experience with design of experiments.
  • Have knowledge of basic concepts, principles, practices and established procedures.
  • Be self-directed to plan, execute, monitor, control and close the project. 
  • Be comfortable with adjusting to unplanned expectations in conjunction with normal activities while maintaining organization.
  • Understand and comply with company safety policies and procedures as related to this position. Read all relevant safety literature, use required protective equipment and practice good housekeeping.
  • Create project plans and execute to expected timelines. Projects including but not limited to population of operational performance database, design of experiments, running tests, analysis of test results, and reports.
  • Provide timely written and verbal reporting relative to results, progress, and status of current projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preference will be given to candidates with a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
