Beckman Coulter is a Danaher company, operating in two industries: Diagnostics and Life Sciences. 


Description

This individual leads global integrated marketing campaign development and execution for new and existing products, services and solutions to support Beckman Coulter Diagnostics growth and retention goals. He or she is responsible for developing clear value propositions and will create high-quality marketing materials targeted to key personas and segments that resonate at various stages of the customer buying journey, using both online and offline channels. He or she will work and collaborate in a matrix-environment across multiple geographies and functions, ensuring the integrity of the Beckman Coulter brand is upheld globally. Four openings are available that will cover a) Chemistry and Immunoassay products and solutions, b) Hematology, Urinalysis and Hemostasis products and solutions, c) Microbiology and Blood Banking products and solutions, and Cross-Discipline Solutions like Sepsis, or d) Beckman Coulter Brand.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Identify segments and audiences for targeted campaigns in discipline area


  • Extract customer needs and insights using quantitative and/or qualitative data from either primary or secondary research to build creative briefs and campaign planning workbook


  • Solicit input and partner with Global Strategic Marketing, Product Management and Regional Marketing on product positioning and marketing mix to inform marketing campaign strategy and tactics


  • Utilize creative brief and campaign planning documents to build successful integrated marketing campaigns (i.e., uses online and offline channels) that delivers on its goals


  • Serve as the expert on customer behavior for online and offline channels, and own and develop messaging, content and campaigns targeted at specific segments and personas along the various stages of the customer journey to meet business objectives


  • Operate with a ‘Digital-First’ mind-set and utilizes that mind-set to create multi-phase nurture campaigns


  • Manage development and production of global campaign collateral materials (e.g., digital and print)


  • Responsible for writing digital and print content and collaborate with copy editor for refinement


  • Defines content strategy in partnership with Content and Editorial Manager for discipline area


  • Defines what success looks like for each campaign (all channels), and ensures alignment to strategic goals


  • Partner with Marketing Analytics Manager to track and measure success of marketing campaign, and routinely revise if needed


  • Facilitate the completion of deliverables from start to finish utilizing Workfront


  • Works with internal resources (e.g., designers, multimedia, digital marketing, user-experience, copywriter, events team, legal, regulatory, quality, medical affairs) to drive marketing tactics through the process and to ensure SLAs are met without sacrificing quality


  • Liaises with external resources (ad agency, printer, literature fulfillment, copywriter, etc.) where appropriate, ensuring that timelines and budgets are met


  • Champions the Beckman Coulter brand in all aspects of work – writing, look, feel and adheres to all brand guidelines


  • Complies with Beckman Coulter’s marketing, advertising, promotional, scientific and sales (MAPSS) policy and is accountable for reviews for Brand on submitted materials in their respective discipline or subject area


  • Ensures high-quality work is done (e.g., no spelling or grammatical errors) prior to presenting or deploying assets


  • Identifies areas of improvement and leads development of countermeasures and sustainable solutions


  • Leads daily management and helps team prioritize prior to escalating for help


  • Presents regularly at Marketing Technology and Brand staff meetings and off-sites and where appropriate at business unit or other leadership meetings


  • Identify areas for improvement and leading development of countermeasures and sustainable solutions


  • Helps in the selection of new associates and in the on boarding process

Job Requirements



Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in field (marketing, communications, journalism, English or related field) with 9+ years of experience OR Master’s degree and 7+ years of experience


  • Demonstrated success in building integrated marketing campaign creation with measurable results


  • Basic understanding of content management systems (CMS) like Sitecore and can perform publishing and editing tasks in the CMS


  • Familiarity and understanding of Google Analytics


  • High energy, self-starter with bias for action and sense of urgency


  • Able to perform exceptionally well in a fast based, metrics driven environment


  • Strong writing, grammar and editing skills


  • Excellent attention to detail


  • Skilled communicator, excellent interviewing and listening skills


  • Good knowledge of AP writing style


  • Technically proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.


  • Verifiable track record of success


  • Ability to manage multiple projects that vary in complexity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience in related service oriented field (i.e. internal/external ad agency)


  • Experience working in or with complex matrixed organization


  • Experience working in a scientific industry (healthcare, IVD, Medical Device, Life Science, or other scientific industry)


  • Experience working in one of the following disciplines: hematology, chemistry, immunoassay, microbiology or urinalysis


  • Up-to-date with latest trends and best practices in integrated marketing communications and measurement


  • Demonstrated competency using a project management tool


  • Worked with global clients
