Description

We are currently seeking an Inkjet Development Engineer to join our team in Huntingdon, United Kingdom.

 

Purpose of the Position:

In this role you will be developing new sub-systems and products for industrial printing applications. Starting from the concept stage, the successful candidate will work in a team to develop working lab demonstrators, prototypes and ultimately products. We are seeking a candidate who will be comfortable with methodical hands on laboratory work, whilst having a solid grasp of the background technical theory. There is scope for leadership development within the role, making it equally appropriate for graduate entry applicants or established engineers. Although relevant ink jet experience is desirable, suitable qualified candidates looking to build a career in the industry will also be considered.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Investigate, develop and test new ideas to working prototype and product stage.


  • Set up and performance of laboratory tests and experiments.


  • Creative problem solving and troubleshooting.


  • Working with external experts to develop key components and processes.


  • Attaining results by working collaboratively within a multi-disciplined team.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:



  • Experience of working in a laboratory and designing experiments.


  • Analytical, evidence driven approach


  • Ability to apply engineering principles to get practical results.


  • Product development experience gained in a high tech industry R&D environment is desirable.


  • Familiarity with CAD packages such as Solidworks at a sufficient level to draught quick solutions and communicate ideas would be an advantage.

  • Experience of project management tools & methodologies (desirable)
