Description

Pantone LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Rite, a Danaher Company, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated Ink Technician in our Carlstadt, New Jersey facility.



Pantone has been the world leader in color communication and specification for over fifty years. Pantone’s products and services are used by designers and manufacturers in many industries – from graphic design and print to apparel and product design – to ensure accurate color from inspiration to realization.



The Ink Technician is expected to:


* Use the X-Rite Ink Formulation Software and measuring instruments to accurately mix inks to exacting standards


* Mix inks either manually or with use of automated mixing equipment


* Ensure ink room is kept safe and organized by following all Pantone safety and organization standards (5S)


* Use computer to obtain and update manufacturing orders


* Participate actively in improvement activities and in Daily Management meetings


* Move materials, up to 50 lbs.

* Be flexible with new workflows and change management; live the concept of continuous improvement


* Be able to take instruction in written and spoken English


* Be comfortable operating light equipment for material movement



Job Requirements



Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent


* Willingness to work and be trained 


* Ink Technician experience or press-side color approvals helpful


* Good communication skills


* Some computer skills


* Quality oriented with good color aptitude


* Working knowledge of ink mixing and color approvals - will train
