Description

Pantone LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary or X-Rite Incorporated, a Danaher company, has an exciting opening for an Ink/Color Laboratory Lead in Carlstadt, NJ. 


Position Overview: Measure, qualify and match base inks, printed color forms and custom color formulas to meet Pantone’s global quality expectations.


Essential Job Responsibilities:
* Qualify base inks and raw materials to ensure correct colors and Pantone quality requirements can be produced
* Function as Color Control technician for off-site press runs of Pantone forms.
* Match and produce custom color inks to meet customer color requirements
* Communicate and manage custom Corporate Color jobs through the entore production cycle to meet customer delivery expectations

Job Requirements



Qualifications

* High School education or equivalent
* 5 years experience with critical color matching
* Must successfully complete the Farnsworth color test
* Experience with standardizing and approving base inks
* Proven experience and “hands on” knowledge of offset printing process, color control on press and ink trouble shooting
* Understanding digital colorimetric data
* Experience using Xrite iColor control and IFS software
* Experience using Xrite eXact and IGT Printability Tester
* Ability to work cross-functionally on various projects
* Self starter and works with minimal to no supervison
