Implementation Manager

Beckman Coulter develops, manufactures and markets products that simplify, automate and innovate complex biomedical testing. Our diagnostic systems, found in hospitals and other critical care settings around the world, produce information used by physicians to diagnose disease, make treatment decisions and monitor patients. Scientists use our life science research instruments to study complex biological problems including causes of disease and potential new therapies or drugs. Position Description: 

We are looking for a dynamic leader with a strong Project Management background to join our team! The ideal candidate will be experienced in establishing and running a Project Management Team, with the overall objective of ensuring all projects are delivered using a ‘best-practice’ Project Delivery Approach.  The key factors of success would be ensuing your team delivers its projects within the agreed scope, on time, within cost and with world-class quality.

The primary responsibility for this position would be to oversee a portfolio of projects, providing expert-level knowledge and support and monitoring progress and reporting on the portfolio status. Managing the development, introduction and on-going iteration of the organizations project delivery method.

This role is expected to provide strong leadership in a fast-paced, matrix environment while promoting best practices in managing interrelated projects and programs to ensure successful delivery. This role will also ensure project resources and all relevant staff are trained and equipped to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Developed project management and planning skills and experience 
  •  Ability to manage a range of projects types and complex business initiatives and change management.
  •  Ownership of the organizations Project Delivery Approach, its implementation, establishment and continued growth.
  •  Good understanding of performance management frameworks and tools in the delivery of business objectives and translating into best practices.
  •  Team management with the ability to manage and motivate virtual or matrix project teams. 
  •  Strengthen business partnerships and managing those relationships 
  •  Capability to provide timely, accurate and relevant project and portfolio reporting as agreed. 
  •  Maximize competitive business revenue generation through execution of strategic scheduling of accounts, resources, and inventory.
  •  Drive, promote and develop positive communication between Implementation Managers and Sales Organizations to prioritize and execute strategic accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Project Management or related field required. 
  • A minimum combined experience of 9+ years in Project Management and leadership 
  • or a Master’s Degree with no less than 7+ years of experience.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Formal project management qualification (PMP/APMP or equivalent) is desirable 
  • A track record of success and experience as a senior level Project Manager 
  • Proven, excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proven people leadership skills are required, must have ability to work with others while effectively handling internal pressures.
  • Advanced understanding of Diagnostics or Healthcare Industry with heavy emphasis on Laboratory Regulatory environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in the Diagnostics industry.
  • Highly Flexible and self-motivated.
  • Established success in building a collaborative working environment and working/influencing across different business units.
  • Must be willing to work out home-based office.
