Description

Third shift schedule: 11:30 PM to 6:30 AM

  1. Perform assembly and testing on valves and assemblies by interpreting blueprints and job sheets.

  2. Maintain high productivity while producing quality parts.

  3. Follow written technical instructions and drawings.

  4. Proof test by placing valves in block and re-testing.

  5. Work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals.

  6. Troubleshoot problems during assembly and test.

  7. Responsible for the upkeep and inventory of company hand tools and tooling.

  8. Participate in Kaizen and other improvement programs.

  9. Work scheduled overtime as needed.

  10. Support company goals and policies.

  11. Set-up test stand and test valves and assemblies to meet specifications on job sheets.

  12. Trains co-workers and supports continuous cross training improvements.

  13. Continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and procedure and communicates to management.

  14. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a position demonstrating mechanical aptitude
  • Prior experience in manufacturing and assembly is an asset

  • Working knowledge and prior experience using hand tools and gages (torque wrenches, calipers).

  • Familiarity with hydraulic / pneumatic principles and related hardware (flow testing, cracking and resetting of valves) is an asset

  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, job sheets, and written work instructions.

  • Demonstrate excellent mechanical skills and abilities

  • Must work overtime as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  1. Pass visual acuity exam.

  2. Required lifting weight: 35 lbs. Lifting frequency: Daily

  3. Required to stand for long time periods (for a minimum of 8 hours or more)

  4. Frequently twist and bend.

  5. Be able to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals

OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.  U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required.  Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

  • Perform preventative maintenance as required

  • Must follow all environmental policies and procedures when working with chemicals, oils, and solvents
