Description

The HR Intern is a key member of the Imaging Solutions HR team and performs administrative tasks related to the operations of the HR function. This position is part time, 16 hours per week and is anticipated to last until May 2020.

Major Responsibilities
  • Accurately enters and maintains associate records in the HR system.
  • Participates in candidate interviews.
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure that requisition status is updated
  • Performs comprehensive audits of HR records and policies
  • Assists with employee relations investigations
  • Leads compliance projects with Dublin and UK facilities
  • Participates in various trainings, department and company meetings
  • Ensures that New Associate Orientation presentations are updated to reflect current policy
  • Prepares materials for New Associate Orientation and facilitates the HR portion of Orientation
  • Prepares HR training materials 
  • Handles employee verification requests, unemployment claims and other agency/government requests for Information.
  • Maintains manual and electronic associate files
  • Participate on Imaging Solutions teams and committees
  • Develops and produces various reports
  • Participates on or handles Special Projects as assigned.
  • As time allows, may provide support to other functions.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Currently enrolled student college/university student of any major; Sophomore or Junior standing strongly preferred. 
History of paid work experience
Intermediate skill level In Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with varied audience
Personal Characteristics
Flexible and able to quickly move from task to task and to multi-task
Personable and able to build positive relationships with a wide variety of associates
Organized and able to plan and drive a project from beginning to end
Reliable in all ways from adhering to work schedule to finishing tasks on time.
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Senior, Human Resources Generalist
Location
This position Is based out of Vista, California and may be involve occasional travel to other Danaher operating companies within 5-mile radius.
Work Schedule
Flexible between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM M-F. Must be able to work Monday or Tuesday mornings.

Travel
Minimal local travel.
