The HR Generalist will provide support to associates and managers in the handling of all human resource related activities which may include:  employee relations, fielding employee questions or concerns, communication and the interpretation of policies and procedures. He/She will provide counsel to associates and management to maintain a productive and positive work environment, including onboarding and Day 1 new hire activities as well as partner with HR team to effectively manage: associate Leave of Absences, Short-Term Disability, FMLA requests, Workers Compensation issues, OSHA requirements, unemployment claims.
  • HR Administration:  Maintain associate personnel files, serve as I-9 immigration coordinator, track compliance training, provide communications to associates on compliance training
  • Workday Pro:  Serve as Workday Pro to include activities such as Ad Hoc Workday Reporting and associate lifecycle transactions, etc.
  • Compensation:  Benefits/Leave Management, offer development and consultation
  • Consult with appropriate legal counsel as needed.
  • Work with HR team and planning teams to organize employee events and other activities such as the annual engagement survey.
  • Consult with and advise management to maximize employee productivity through timely resolution of issues.
  • Ensure all associates and managers are properly trained to use tools and resources related to annual HR processes.   
  • Provide counsel and support to client groups/managers for performance development and improvement. Monitor completion of performance reviews and performance/development planning. 
  • Monitor all EEO compliance and Affirmative Action programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources matters. 
  • Monitor and provide feedback regarding the use of policies and procedures and propose / draft policies / updates as needed.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Organizational Management or comparable discipline, or related field experience preferred. 
  • PHR or SPHR certification is a plus
  • Oracle knowledge a plus
  • 3 to 5 years of Human Resource Generalist experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws, Investigation Skills, HR technical knowledge in EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, unemployment, and worker's compensation
  • Strong communications skills: interpersonal, oral and written
  • Strong ability to work with all levels of associates and management within the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook.
  • Workday experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; ability to analyze data.
  • Human Resource experience should include familiarity with and experience in recruitment, associate relations, associate communications, and leave of absence laws.

Danaher Corporation Overview

On July 19, 2018, Danaher announced its intention to spin-off the Dental Platform to form a new publicly traded dental company.  The new company “DentalCo” (to be named later) will create one of the largest and most innovative dental companies in the world.  The benefits of this spin-off will allow the Dental business to be more impactful, with greater focus around organic and inorganic growth; be more agile and quick to respond to changing market environments; allow increased access to capital to innovate and invest in clinical and practice workflows; as well as, allow for significant career opportunities for associates and leaders.  DentalCo will be a public entity traded on the NYSE. Collectively, its businesses generated roughly $2.8 billion in revenues in fiscal year 2017 with a global presence in 100 countries, with 20 manufacturing sites.  The Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) will be for the newly created diversified dental company, which will be comprised of the existing operating companies in Danaher’s dental segment, including Kavo Kerr, Ormco, and Nobel Biocare Systems.

In 2016, Danaher separated its industrial segment and stood up Fortive (NYSE: FTV), creating a separate public entity that has since progressed further in its industry segment and seen significant revenue growth and stock value.  The spin-off of DentalCo will enable the new company with increased growth and future value.  The Company will be driven by the same strong core values and a foundation provided by the Danaher Business System, Danaher's associates are pursuing a focused strategy aimed at creating a premier stand-alone Dental company – “Danaher 3.0”.
