Leading the Human Resources function for Pall Biotech’s North America organization, this role will provide leadership to approximately 900 people in the region. The Director of Human Resources will partner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and business needs ensuring effective human resource strategies to attract, engage, develop and retain talent. This consultative business partner role will support commercial, operational as well as scientific associates. This role is based in Westborough, MA, a suburb of Boston, and leads a team of five HR Business Partners based in the US and Puerto Rico. The following are the key responsibilities for the position: Key Responsibilities:

  • Function as a strategic partner with leadership teams to develop and execute critical business and organizational strategies, leadership development, acquisition of early talent and diversity and inclusion.

  • Collaborate with leaders to build and support an employee engagement strategy that facilitates organizational performance and enables successful organizational change.

  • Partner with business leaders on initiatives that engage associates and promote retention of key talent. Understand associate needs and facilitate effective communication channels between leaders and associates. Sponsor and drive events and programs designed to increase employee engagement.

  • Champion the company’s values and culture partnering with business leaders, COE’ s and HRBPs to drive high quality execution of programs such as succession planning, talent acquisition, talent development, compensation planning, performance management, health and wellness programs and engagement.

  • Provide coaching and leadership to the regional HR team to ensure functional excellence. Ensure the growth and development of the HR team as well as succession for the function.

  • Manage special HR projects to achieve desired outcomes and participate on project teams as assigned.

  • Consult with process owners to explore opportunities to optimize activities utilizing continuous improvement processes (Transactional Process Improvement, Problem Solving Process, Value Stream Mapping, etc.). Act as a change leader for improvements.

  • Ensure company policies are communicated clearly and administered in compliance with all labor laws and reporting requirements of the countries supported.

  • Act as point of escalation on elevated human resources or labor issues.

Job Requirements


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.8-10 years of HR experience, with at least 7 years of focusing on business partnering, succession planning, engagement, leadership development, diversity, organizational development and coaching.

Preferred Qualifications

Broad understanding of the technical and functional components of human resources, including: talent acquisition, talent management, organizational design/development, succession planning, leadership development, compensation; compliance; planning; M&A due diligence and integration, employee communications; training and development and employee relations.
