Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Function as a business partner with leadership teams to develop and execute critical business and organizational strategies.

  • Develop and execute a talent strategy for the region inclusive of growth initiatives, leadership development, acquisition of early talent and diversity and inclusion.

  • Collaborate with leaders to build and support an employee engagement strategy that facilitates organizational performance and enables successful organizational change.

  • Partner with business leaders on initiatives that engage associates and promote retention of key talent.  Understand associate needs and facilitate effective communication channels between leaders and associates.  Sponsor and drive events and programs designed to increase employee engagement. 

  • Champion the company’s values and culture partnering with business leaders, COE’ s and HRBPs to drive high quality execution of programs such as succession planning, talent acquisition, talent development, compensation planning, performance management, health and wellness programs and engagement.

  • Provide coaching and leadership to the regional HR team to ensure functional excellence. Ensure the growth and development of the HR team as well as succession for the function.

  • Manage special HR projects to achieve desired outcomes and participate on project teams as assigned.

  • Consult with process owners to explore opportunities to optimize activities utilizing continuous improvement processes (Transactional Process Improvement, Problem Solving Process, Value Stream Mapping, etc.). Act as a change leader for improvements.

  • Ensure company policies are communicated clearly and administered in compliance with all labor laws and reporting requirements of the countries supported.

  • Act as point of escalation on elevated human resources or labor issues.

  • Complete trainer certification for key leadership programs and deliver training to support associate growth and development.

  • Assume a leadership role for statutory compliance. Drive the compliance agenda for the country and serve as the local compliance leader.

  • Lead the team managing business administration, including EH&S, contractual compliance, real estate and infrastructure.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

  • 8-10 years of HR experience, with at least 7 years of focusing on business partnering, succession planning, engagement, leadership development, diversity, organizational development and coaching.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Broad understanding of the technical and functional components of human resources, including: talent acquisition, talent management, organizational design/development, succession planning, leadership development, compensation; compliance; planning; M&A due diligence and integration, employee communications; training and development and employee relations.

  • Knowledge of India employment laws and relevant institutions

  • Technical proficiency in HR processes.

  • Business Knowledge – includes value added perspective, financial awareness and cost control, industry knowledge, strategic focus, diverse business experience.

 

Position Competencies:

  • Proven strategic human resource business partner, with an excellent sense of technology, scientific as well as commercial activities and an appreciation for the interplay between the functional groups.

  • Ability to build relationships and influence teams and individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Minimum of 5 years working effectively in diverse global environments. 

  • Independent, self-starter – able to set agenda and drive progress with little direction.

  • Prior experience managing significant change/project initiatives including change management experience. Experience with lean / continuous improvement is a plus.

  • Critical thinking and decision-making, analytical problem solving, business astuteness, and process orientation.

  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate employees to balance staffing strength and develop future leaders.

  • Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office products:  PowerPoint; Excel, Word.

  • Experience with HR Information Systems.

  • Able to facilitate and encourage objective analyses of alternative points of view and be able to articulate the strengths and weaknesses of various business options in order to reach an informed decision.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
