Description

Together with a small team the Site HR Manager will work with his/her business partners to establish and deliver a broad range of HR service. This includes but is not limited to managing and supporting in the following critical areas within HR: talent acquisition and talent development; engagement and retention; performance management; training; employee relations; HR compliance, and general policy administration. The position is located in Nussloch, Germany and reports to the HR Director Core Histology. As part of our HR matrix organization, the position will in addition support the CFO as HRBP for the global Finance & IT organization.

  • Advises and partners with associates and people leaders
  • Responsible for implementation of key talent and management processes including consulting with leaders regarding team development and personal / professional development of associates
  • Drives core processes supporting performance management, associate engage¬ment surveys and talent management
  • Drives and manages employment relations responsibilities including coaching leaders on tough conversations, co-creating performance improvement plans, and ensuring leaders are following through with processes
  • Leads in developing best practices and implementing site-related policies and processes as applicable
  • Supports recruiting and employment activities to ensure the timely placement of qualified associates
  • Champions the Danaher Business System (DBS); DBS is the organizational culture that encompasses continuous improvement and policy deployment of strategic initiatives
  • Takes personal ownership for key site HR metrics (recruitment, development, retention, etc.)
  • Properly executes corporate policies and HR programs ensuring quality, delivery and cost
  • Ensures compliance with employment-related laws
  • Facilitates training and development programs
  • Delivers change management consultation to clients
  • Consults with leaders on talent management and organizational design challenges
  • Conducts any additional duties as required

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Graduate degree and 8+ years of experience in a Human Resources role at an international company
  • Works Highly effective ‘self-starter’ with a proven record of delivering ongoing continuous improvement for the business
  • Builds constructive and effective relationships both inside and outside the organization
  • Evidence of strong team player
  • Understands business and global cultures and adapts style accordingly
  • Works with integrity and leads by example with compliance
  • Experience in partnering successfully with works councils
  • Good knowledge of German labour law and social security 
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and German required
