Description

  • The Global Senior Manager, Product Management is responsible for monitoring, developing and continuously refining our strategy and execution towards growth and support of the Biologics business unit. This individual will work closely with commercial marketing, sales, and R&D to ensure that our market leadership position is constantly expanding relative to the competitive landscape. This is a key role responsible for both defining and serving the addressable market with products.
  • Responsible for development and execution of strategic marketing plans in a highly competitive landscape that will result in global expansion of the Biologics business
  • Discovers the strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develops strategies to respond effectively and to develop competitive differentiation across the Biologics business unit product portfolio
  • Provides guidance on product messaging and target market definition in the development of messaging to commercial marketing team to aid in achievement of BU revenue and profitability goals
  • Strong background in translating workflows, applications and customer needs to develop effective positioning
  • Understands importance and has demonstrated ability to conduct customer segmentation, define value propositions, and competitive positioning to create value
  • Prior experience in conducting VOC (Voice of Customer ) to surface latent customer needs and ability to prioritize product requirements and ensure feature delivery; Aligns go-to-market strategy with business unit profitability and strategic objectives
  • Product Management – Experience in product lifecycle management. Ability to conduct product portfolio analysis; determine new product opportunities; margin optimization; rationalization.
  • Experience in working closely with R&D to drive product to completion and lead product commercialization.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing innovative Software solutions based on customer needs to drive growth
  • Experience in developing commercial readiness plans that form the foundation of go-to-market strategy for commercial marketing, Sales and Service teams.
  • Brand management and development experience desired
  • Ability to research and distill market and competitive intelligence insights that drive growth
  • Identify and develop relationships with industry experts to create a broad and effective KOL network
  • Builds strong collaborative working relationships within Molecular Devices and Danaher Life Sciences functional teams to implement strategies, identify and address cross-selling and synergistic business opportunities, and overcome obstacles
  • Ability to develop deep understanding of DBS tools and their deployment within BU and role
  • Success in creating and delivering sales tools and training

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Requires an understanding of laboratory instruments, equipment and consumables space and ability to navigate corporate organizational structure to drive business unit goals across various functional areas. Experience with label-free biosensors a plus.
  • Demonstrates can-do attitude, flexibility and can quickly pivot between tasks in fast moving dynamic environment. Understanding of time and priority management to meet short and long-term objectives.
  • Self-motivated individual who is adept in creating alliances with internal, external stakeholders through collaboration, authenticity
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to deliver results
  • Customer focused and able to develop credibility and positive relationships with peers, customers, and management
  • Adept in leadership, multitasking, presentation and problem solving skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies based on both quantitative and qualitative inputs with intuitive understanding of financial drivers
  • Exhibits general business acumen with a thorough understanding of financial methodologies, performance metrics and ROI analyses
  • Skilled in MS Office (including Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • BS in a life science or engineering discipline. MBA and/or graduate degree in a life science discipline preferred.
  • Requires 5+ years’ experience in Marketing Management or Product Management
  • Prefer familiarity with commercial operations, relationship management and marketing tools.
  • Prefer knowledge of drug discovery and protein analytical research products and applications, actual working laboratory experience and a thorough understanding of the laboratory
