  • The Global Senior Manager, Applications Management works with internal and external groups to set the applications strategy and develop thought leadership content to drive how activities are planned, executed, managed, and analyzed by building a market leading library of applications. Identifies solutions that map to customer and market needs to drive applications development team efforts. Drives development of value proposition for Biologics BU product portfolio and ensures sales team are fully trained on technology and value of our products to various customer segments.
  • Define a vision and plan for application development to expand use of the Biologics BU product portfolio in various market segments, taking into consideration competitor and partner offerings
  • Manage applications team to learn about customer needs through external data gathering and analysis, conference attendance, pre-demo requirements gathering, meetings with customers, collaboration with the Sales and Customer Success teams, and any other sources you can find
  • Identify opportunities to create domain applications and aid sales growth from customer implementations
  • Manage and execute applications roadmap definition, collateral requirements, content creation and processes
  • Manage team of applications managers and scientists to create and deliver on the applications roadmap in collaboration with product development and product marketing to support application lifecycle
  • Manage applications team to assist commercial marketing in collateral development for lead generation campaigns including brochures, email campaign shorts and short product demonstration videos. Partner with Commercial Marketing to define, develop, and communicate the value of our products and supporting content to support marketing and sales tactics that drive the business
  • Support Product Management team in the development of business unit strategic plans
  • Develop value proposition for individual products in the biologics BU portfolio, and train the sales and field scientist teams to use the value prop in sales situations
  • Discover the strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develops strategies to respond effectively and to develop competitive differentiation across the Biologics business unit product portfolio.
  • Attend industry events to build awareness and establish relationships with other thought leaders from industry and academia, including partners, customers, and prospects

Job Requirements


  • Experience in developing new application segments to aid sales growth, training sales teams to learn value proposition to deliver to new market segments
  • Requires an understanding of laboratory instruments, equipment and consumables space and ability to navigate corporate organizational structure to drive business unit goals across various functional areas. Experience with label-free biosensors a plus.
  • Demonstrates can-do attitude, flexibility and can quickly pivot between tasks in fast moving dynamic environment. Understanding of time and priority management to meet short and long-term objectives.
  • Self-motivated individual who is adept in creating alliances with internal, external stakeholders through collaboration, authenticity
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to deliver results
  • Customer focused and able to develop credibility and positive relationships with peers, customers, and management
  • Adept in leadership, multitasking, presentation and problem solving skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies based on both quantitative and qualitative inputs with intuitive understanding of financial drivers
  • Exhibits general business acumen with a thorough understanding of financial methodologies, performance metrics and ROI analyses
  • Skilled in MS Office (including Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • BS in a life science or engineering discipline. MBA and/or graduate degree in a life science discipline preferred.
  • Requires 5+ years’ experience in Marketing Management or Product Management
  • Prefer familiarity with commercial operations, relationship management and marketing tools.
  • Prefer knowledge of drug discovery and protein analytical research products and applications, actual working laboratory experience and a thorough understanding of the laboratory
