Beckman Coulter is currently looking for a Global Marketing Manager to join the Urinalysis Global Marketing Team supporting the overall marketing and product positioning for the Urinalysis portfolio.  This role will have elements of global strategy and support, as well as a focus on pre-launch activities. The global team is a multinational group responsible for leading the commercial readiness and supporting the downstream marketing functions in all regions.  

Essential duties and responsibilities include:
  • Perform detailed analysis of the business area in the region and by country; including business, industry, market share, competitor trends and Win/Loss rates. 
  • Partner with the country marketers to identify customer needs and investigate both existing and potential channels and market opportunities in which to sell our existing products.  Participate in the development of regional strategic one to two-year plans for the business area.
  • Partner with the different regional leadership teams to scope the market opportunity, identify commercial needs, set up processes, and support the marketing activities needed to achieve commercial readiness in the region by leading the local teams, global functions and internal supporting groups through detailed launch plans.
  • Inform and adapt global marketing for the regions in collaboration with the country managers for new and existing products. This includes, but is not limited to: 1) Final Go To Market/Marketing Mix Strategy 2) Segmentation Strategy 3) Competitive Response Strategy; 4) Adjacent Market strategy 5) Product/Technology Brand Strategy 6) Price Getting Strategy; 7) Market Dynamics; 8) Consumption Dynamics (customer behavior); 9) Purchase Dynamics (customer behavior).
  • Support gathering local customer input to inform the development of the message and segment strategy. Adapt and deploy marketing campaigns through different channels in the region to achieve business objectives until the region is ready to take over. Redirect tactics based on analytics.
  • Provide marketing leadership for the region and countries supported and partner with the Product Management and Sales and Support Teams to drive revenue and ensure an outstanding customer experience. 
  • Support the regional marketing and sales organizations appropriate tools, trainings, etc. 
  • Develop strong relationships with future customers of products and partner with Scientific and Sales in identifying Key Opinion Leaders and Industry Expert Panels; as well as help manage Trade shows, User Groups and/or Advisory Groups.

Job Requirements


Minimum Required:
  • Bachelor’s, CLSI or MT degree
  • 5+ years marketing experience
  • Experience interacting with, selling to and gaining input from global customers and partners
  • Demonstrates executive presence and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to combine strategic 
  • Demonstrated experiences beyond the marketing function, to include clinical, regulatory, business development or other functional experience that adds to their ability to execute marketing role
  • Routinely have served in varied capacities beyond an individual contributor
  • Self-starter, able to work independently
  • Proven ability to see new business opportunities, set and meet aggressive objectives and develop strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including proven influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills
  • Domestic and international travel required, 30% estimated
  • MBA
  • 3 years of experience in a hospital laboratory with knowledge of urinalysis or hematology testing
