Position Summary:

Provide support for IT Operations including IT Hotline, Service Desk, system administration, development, security and support for all relevant IT infrastructure, systems and applications.

Main Duties:
  • Provide user and administrative support for PC’s and peripherals including user account management.
  • Provide technical guidance to users and management for PC related issues and queries.
  • Participate in projects or teams and directed by the Manager/Supervisor.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of all relevant hardware and software.
  • Configuration, installation & deployment of all PC’s and PC related peripherals.
  • Support local manufacturing systems.
  • Ensure appropriate PC related procedures are enforced.
  • Develop a working knowledge of department specific applications.
  • Keep abreast of technical aspects of PC-LAN computing environment.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Log into and use telephone and computer based Service Desk system to record all support activities.
  • Contribute to meeting the departmental key performance indicators.

  • Provide training to European community as required

Job Requirements


Essential Previous Experience:
  • 1 year experience of providing end user desktop support in a Microsoft environment (Office 365)
  • 1 year experience of PC applications / operating systems /hardware
Essential Knowledge & Key Skills:
  • Good knowledge of IT hardware and associated peripheral
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Office applications
  • Ability to use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to solve hardware and software problems
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and good judgement and strong analytical skills as well as follow-up and organizational skills.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Degree
  • Up-to-date professional certification in the relevant technical area.
