Description

The future position holder designs, plans and executes our global internal communications program. The successful candidate will work directly with the senior leadership team to develop a consistent tone and voice. The Internal Communications Lead will also support employer branding as well as global corporate change projects producing high-impact, high-value messages that support our employee’s ability to do their work and grow the business. He/she/d will continuously improve our strategy, communications tools and programs. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the effectiveness of existing internal communication channels and remain informed of best practices in the profession
  • Design a creative communication strategy and annual delivery plan for engaging employee communications
  • Create a framework for repeatable processes/guidelines that can be implemented locally in various regions
  • Lead the strategic thinking, design, development and promotion of the Leica Microsystems global intranet by determining the most effective ways to leverage intranet and social media tools
  • Propose, plan, design, write and create content for executive communication through appropriate channels and manage Leica Microsystems quarterly associate assemblies
  • Manage the company’s global intranet, providing technical oversight, community management, editorial calendar/content creation, reporting and analytics, ongoing enhancements and long-term strategy with a view to optimizing the employee experience 
  • Generate and utilize analytics to execute and refine programs for maximum return on investment and track key performance metrics
  • Manage the global internal communication budget

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Our Expectations:
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, Journalism or related field
  • Multiple years of internal communications experience building enterprise-wide programs for corporate organizations
  • Fluent German and English skills
  • Exceptional writing/editing experience, ability to connect ideas with macro-level priorities
  • Prior experience with following systems would be a plus: Cartella, web analytics programs, Eloqua, video and audio editing, WebEx and webcasting, design software, PPT
  • Demonstrated ability to take complex ideas and translate them into key messages and creative executions
  • Flexible, proactive and service oriented team player
  • Strong project planning and management skills with solid understanding of change management
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing ability
  • Multitasking and problem-solving skills
