We
are currently seeking a Financial Operational
Excellence Leader
to come join our team
at PALL Harbourgate







Position Objective: 



This is an exciting
opportunity to work for a large, dynamic and fast-paced global organisation. An
opportunity has now become available for a Financial Operational Excellence
Leader to join the Finance team in Portsmouth.  You will be responsible for the process
optimisation of Finance functions including general ledger reporting, financial
period close and the timely submission of accurate financial statements into
downstream reporting (such as HFM submission, Danaher consolidation of results
and FP&A reporting tools).



 



In this role you will:




•     Prioritise
and manage projects globally, liaising with Finance associates and IT to
achieve operational excellence in financial processes.




•     Utilise
DBS tools (including leading kaizens, PSP initiatives and listening to VOC) to
identify opportunities for improvement, and evaluate their relative benefits.
Develop and deploy action plans to drive continuous improvement in relation to
those opportunities.




•     Work
directly with IT resources, SMEs, shared service centres and individual users
to support the configuration of associated system functionality in SAP.




•     Drive
the optimisation of the SAP to HFM submission process with the key goal of
eliminating waste from the close process and achieveing 2-day close.




•     Drive
the global statndardisation of the Operating Company’s financial processes and
related application of corporate policy.




•     Document
solutions and coach the local/CFS finance staff in relation to adopting those
solutions.




•     Maintain
FI & CO master data in SAP under the remit of the FOE team with primary
focus on Chart of Accounts and GL.


Job Requirements



Qualifications

The successful
candidate will have:




•        
Experience
in a Finance Shared Services based environment




•        
Educated
to Degree level in a finance or business subject desirable but not essential




•        
CIMA or
ACCA desirable but not essential




•        
Experience
in process improvement/ continuous improvement




•        
Understanding
& Experience with US & local GAAP requirements




•        
Competent
in GL Accounting/ Reporting




•        
Experience
using SAP




•        
Excellent
project management skills




•        
Experience
leading cross functional teams




•        
Ability
to communicate effectively at all levels




•        
Some
International travel
