POSITION SUMMARY: 

We are seeking a Financial Controller with demonstrated problem solving and process improvement abilities and an open and collaborative work style. The candidate will have complete responsibility for all financial aspects of the business and will be an important member of our global Finance and Accounting team. The role will be focused on ensuring the compliance with the Danaher accounting policies and will be responsible for internal and external audits. In this job you will play an active part in the migration to a new ERP-System. This position will report directly to the Business Controller of our Meteorological division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Preparation of Monthly Consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports
  • Analysis of results and discuss with leadership team and give support to identify Margin and Opex improvement opportunities
  • Be responsible for the preparation of the monthly forecasts and annual budget
  • Be part in annual process for setting standard costing of labor, materials and overhead
  • Working capital management for AR, AP, inventory and deferred revenue 
  • Provide support to leadership team on management of AP and inventory
  • Responsible for driving improvements to DSO, DPO, inventory and working capital turns
  • Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls and implemented and maintained
  • Ensure compliance with Danaher accounting policies and procedures.
  • Participate in financial audit processes, including balance sheet reviews, and internal and external audits as required.
  • Identify, develop, and implement standard work and efficiency improvements.
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Ad hoc global projects as needed

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Educational requirements: Master degree in Accounting and/or Finance/bachelor degree with additional post bachelor training or equivalent
  • Number of years of prior related experience: minimum of 5 years work experience in an international commercial company, at least 2 years in similar role
  • Special requirements:
    • experienced as project team member in ERP-implementation is a pré
    • strong team player with a positive can-do attitude 
    • experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Advanced level of verbal and written communications skills in Dutch and English
  • Type of software / operating system experience: Deep knowledge of ERP-Systems and Microsoft office with advanced Excel skills required, knowledge of Microsoft BI is an Advantage
  • % travel required: occasional international travel opportunities
  • Ability to thrive in global cross-functional work environment
