POSITION SUMMARY: 

This role is responsible for the coordination, preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual forecast submissions for SCIEX including revenue, headcount planning and expenses.  This position provides financial administrative and analytical support to the Manager of FP&A through the comparison of actual results to those planned.  The position is responsible for ensuring the proper consolidations are completed and reconciled to financial actuals and forecasts are provided to Corporate Danaher.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Partners with business leaders to adjust forecasts, complete gap analysis and ensure targets are met.
  • Support Preparation of the Annual Plan.
  • Provided pricing support and analysis to SCIEX business units driving profit improvement.
  • Prepares and publishes weekly reporting for management to understand booking and revenue trends.
  • Provide preparation and planning schedule for the budget and forecast cycles throughout the year.  Ensures Corporate Schedule for reporting is maintained and on time.
  • Ensures timely weekly and monthly expense reporting, variances to forecast and comparative analysis to prior year.
  • Supports Month End close procedures for SCIEX.
  • Collection, analysis and submission of business statistics including Core Growth, Vertical Market Trends and other analysis as needed for the business
  • Ad Hoc Analysis as needed

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • BS in Finance or Accounting, CPA, CMA, or MBA desirable.
  • 4-6 years of experience with preference to the Life Science Industry. 
  • Very strong Microsoft Office and Oracle Applications experience. 
  • Strong proficiency with Office Applications, MS Excel, Access, Power BI.
  • Proficiency with Hyperion EPM Tools (Hyperion Planning/ESSBASE, HFM, SmartView, AdHoc).
  • Proficiency with Oracle OBIEE.
  • Data mining capability with variously sourced information feeds.
  • Familiarity with Time Management/Planning Tools (eTime).
  • Demonstrated capacity for working independently, but can readily seek the counsel of others.  
  • Comfortably with ambiguity and quickly shifting priorities.
  • Strong analytical modeling skills.
  • Exposure to M&A due diligence and integration.
