Description

We are currently seeking a  Finance Manager to join our team in Wood Dale IL. This Sr. Financial Analyst role supports the Product Identification (PID) Platform by providing functional expertise, current/future state analysis and solutions support; as well as overall Finance project leadership.  The position is responsible for various monthly/annual and ad-hoc financial analyses and reports in support of the PID business.  This position will also be challenged to lead several process improvements/changes with measurable results in the drive to properly manage cost and customer expectations.  Additionally, the incumbent will be involved with potential new acquisitions by developing financial models to predict revenue and profitability synergies.

Responsibilities Include
• Analyze PID Operating Company variations from forecasts and prior periods to expose business/financial improvement opportunities in areas such as price increases, channel changes (distributor versus direct), currency fluctuation impacts and exposures, facility rationalizations, acquisition synergies etc.
• Provide financial support of financial and statistical requirements associated with the company’s annual Strategic and Profit Plan, including internal and Danaher corporate requirements.
• Regularly provide PID leadership with key operating statistics and variance analysis including: budgets, forecasts, and key ratios.
• Development and modeling of analysis which provides root cause of variances.
• Prepare ad hoc analysis and variance reports as required, making extensive use of PC tools as HFM, Business Intelligence (BI) and Excel.
• Lead and assist in the continuous improvement, development, modification and implementation of financial systems as necessary.  This includes learning and using DBS tools.
• Assist in month end reporting and forecasting requirements as required and provide backup on P&L and working capital responsibility reporting.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

• 5+ years of Financial Analyst experience in a fast paced organization
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or Accounting
• Demonstrated track record of analyzing large amounts of data and ability to summarize it into reasonable and actionable information.
• Use of financial reporting tools such as HFM, Oracle, BI and Microsoft Excel to improve productivity in providing informative, timely, and accurate financial presentations.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems/tools in order to improve financial modeling, reporting, and presentations.
• Ability to recognize effective system setups to maximize user requirements, system simplicity, and minimize future maintenance.
• Proficiency in quickly and accurately modeling/presenting financial data in a manner that communicates valuable information to management.
• Detail oriented with ability to recognize “big picture” issues.
• Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience in process improvements with quantifiable results to measure effectiveness.
