Job Description Summary



The facilities technician-2 will performs basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/repair activities on production and office buildings, utility support equipment and production related equipment as assigned. Assists with setups/startups on production and support equipment as needed. Candidate will have ability to perform/assist with construction and fabrication activities. Ability to prioritize assigned work based upon criticality and production requirements. This is a second shift position (2pm-1030pm), but has the ability to work all shifts including weekends based upon staffing requirements and production needs.

• Daily review of the work order system and execution of assigned PM and repair work orders based upon criticality and scheduling requirements.
• Performs and/or participates in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual equipment, building and regulatory inspections as required.
• Performs assigned basic repairs in a timely and safe manner utilizing proper tools, equipment and parts.
• Performs assigned basic preventative maintenance activities in a timely and safe manner with proper observance of equipment operational schedules and approved SOP’s.
• Finalize completion of assigned PM or repair work orders through closeout and final approval in the work order system.
• Assists in the periodic review and adjustment of operational and Preventative Maintenance SOP’s.
• Assists with equipment and/or support equipment installations and setups as assigned.
• Ability to learn to read/interpret blueprints, schematics and drawings.
• Ability to learn to utilize/interpret precision measurement tools.
• Maintains department spare parts system with periodic review/recording of on-hand quantities. Re-ordering/replenishing of stock and making additions based upon recommendations from senior technicians.
• Performs basic construction projects as directed and assists with more technical projects as needed.
• Update of skills with internal company and external vendor provided trainings.
• Participates in rotating on-call duties.

Job Requirements


Education or Experience (in years):
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a plastic molding facility operation in a technical role.

Knowledge and skills:
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written English
• computer skills
• Able to use tools such as multi-meters, pneumatic and other hand held tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
• 5s and or Kaizen understanding
Physical requirements/abilities:
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment while gowned
• Ability to travel between locations (local to Lodi)

• Minimum three years in Plastic Manufacturing Environment
• Experience working in a clean environment
• Medical device manufacturing awareness and expectations
