Description

Job Descriptions:

The Facilities technician will be responsible for performing basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of the Security access control equipment, Environmental Monitoring, HVAC control systems and relevant duties as assigned. Responsibilities include installation, implementation, systems troubleshooting, tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Serves as department information resource to assist Facilities management and End Users with Facilities Systems.
• Installs and supports AMAG Symmetry software applications.
• Sets up users and security settings; researches user inquiries and new technology.
• Schedule and support repair and maintenance for all types of equipment dealing with security access entries to all Facilities Buildings.
• The technician also maintains and supports a variety of other databases including REES, VAISALA, AND DISTEC, and review alarms and investigates any recurring alarms for unusual conditions or trends.
• Troubleshoots software/hardware, database problems and provides technical support as requested; communicates with vendors to resolve issues.
• Support all department operations with deploying and monitoring effectiveness HVAC and Environmental Control and Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS).
• Assists the Maintenance and Calibration Group with installing monitor points, step up, programming and maintenance as needed.
• Determining root cause of systems failure, takes corrective action when required and provide recommendation for improvements.
• Work closely with Facilities, IT, Production, R&D and Quality department.

Qualifications

Requirements – Skills and Ability:

• A high school diploma, or equivalent, is required
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with standard software applications with advanced skill in database applications, hardware, and networking or equivalent is required.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Environmental Monitoring systems as relates to manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of industrial maintenance or computer-integrated manufacturing
• Excellent workmanship standards are essential.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• 3 years of GMP environment experience, is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Clean DMV history.
• Ability and willingness to travel on work assignments.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Able to climb ladders and work above ceilings.
• Ability to work on roof tops.
