Enterprise Architecture is responsible for the creation, maintenance, management and governance of IT architecture repositories, models and their lower level components. The Enterprise Architect provides technical and professional leadership in the development and maintenance of corporate information architecture, infrastructures and system standards to enable the achievement of strategic business goals and objectives.

Job Description

  • The primary role of the Enterprise Architecture team is to ensure that the respective business, application, data and technology perspectives are in line with the organization’s technology and governance strategies, policies and standards.
  • Recommends and participates in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture (EA).
  • Collaborates with IT Leadership to create, manage, use and maintain IT/technology architecture models and repositories
  • Implements strategy for the development of IT/technology architecture work
  • Advises and recommends enterprise architecture strategies, processes and methodologies.
  • Engages and participates with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) in the analysis, evaluation and development of enterprise technology roadmaps to ensure that the EA objectives are consistent with the enterprise’s long-term business objectives.
  • Shares best practices, lessons learned and constantly updates the technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and up-coming vendor products and solutions.
  • Coordinates activities of the Technology Review Board, assessing new technologies against current technologies and standards.
  • Coordinate/manage the technology architecture activities
  • Identifies and recommends areas appropriate for further study and participates in Proof of Concept projects required to thoroughly investigate architectural possibilities and strengthen arguments for their adoption.
  • Conducts and/or actively participates in meetings related to designated projects with global business units and IT partners
  • Identifies implementation risks and analyses potential impact on the enterprise and on the achievement of scheduled objectives.
  • Participates in the design and implementation of IT service management standards, tools and methodologies
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships across the Enterprise
  • Identifies and implements improvements for policies, procedures and processes
  • Partners with internal organizations to improve administrative and/or procedural challenges
  • Develops, aligns or utilizes best practices across other Danaher Operating Companies

Job Requirements


  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience OR a Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience OR a Doctoral degree in computer science or Business management with 4+ years of experience is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with people at all organizational levels
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional customer service
  • Experience in using multiple development methodologies and or architecture development methodologies (ADM) is a benefit
  • Enterprise Architecture certification is a plus, however, not required (e.g. TOGAF Certified)
