The EMEA Application Specialist - TTO, LPA, LCM will be responsible for providing direct technical and application support for LPA, LCM and TTO product lines both through the Direct End User Sales channel, Distributor channel, GSA and OEM’s across the EMEA region. This support will be provided for pre-sales applications to drive sales growth by sharing product knowledge, experience and providing product and application knowledge. Whist the primary objective is clearly sales support, the application specialist will work closely with the global support teams for each product line to help coordinate technical support.

Key Responsibilities (Rank Order):

A/ Product Management

  • Serve as technical referee for LPA, LCM and TTO product lines

  • Provide competent applications and technical support by answering questions from local country applications and technical support, CSEs, customers and other internal parties as well as distributors for assigned projects / products

  • Provide qualified support and guidance to connecting/interfacing equipment to customer’s host system

  • Demonstrate proficiency by quickly gathering pertinent data, recommending corrective actions and following-up with internal and external customers to ensure issue closure/resolution.

  • Closely collaborate with Technical Champions to help drive business

  • Work in close relationship with the Regional Product Manager to Communicate recommended changes with equipment to design teams in accordance with the NPD/MOL process and participate as the EMEA TS lead on assigned MOL projects.

  • Assist RPM in ensuring the entire sales force is capable to autonomously sell the products from his/her product line (understand the win, POD’s, know how to demonstrate and speak about product line)

  • Conduct training and continually assess sales and service engineer’s product skill sets on existing products and product enhancements/new products.

  • Monitor and analyze competition on POD’s/features in the region

  • Knock Down Technical/application barriers to closing deals (any size)

  • Educate sales force where necessary through hands-on, onsite pre-sale customer support. This will include:

o       Specifying needs of customer and viability of product

o       Site surveys, which product, fitting of equipment

o       Ensure availability / ordering of correct parts to customer site

o       Support installation with engineer when necessary

  • Support GSA and OEM team to develop and win at their specific accounts

  • VOC: Provide market and customer feedback to marketing (what capabilities do we need to be effective)

  • Surface any product and/or field service issues and be an active team member in quality problem solving

  • Proactively find out who needs product/applications sales support with new product

  • Contribute to collateral material development based on local success stories (sales and technical support)

B/ Product Development

  • Contribute to market needs identification, market segmentation

  • Based on POD’s, contribute to product definition with specific regional needs in mind

  • Contribute to launch plan to allow product ramp up as desired/planned

Job Requirements


  • Education - BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree

  • Work experience - Minimum Three (3) to Five (5) years experience supporting industrial (ideally LPA or TTO or LCM) technologies – the more the better in order to be able to technically interact with the technical support manager, understand connectivity issues and product integration

  • Skills required –

    • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

    • Organization skills

    • Customer oriented, Solution seeking ability

    • Good Sales skills to easily work with customers and promote the product range

    • Able to work closely with others in a fast-paced environment

    • Strong mechanical and software aptitude required

    • Fluent English required. Other main European Language a plus
