Electronics
Engineer
- The Job:





- Reporting to the Electronics Team Lead, this person
would join the Electronics Engineering department, with a focus on the VAVE
activities



- This person would be involved with all aspects of
Electronic assemblies used within Linx products, with a focus on re-design and
engineering to deliver cost savings and enhancements to the products



- Looking for a person with the right attitude, good
grounding in Electronics principles and design, wanting to grow and develop in
the role, with motivation to re-engineer products

– Responsibilities:





- The Electronics Engineer for VAVE in the R&D Eng
Department working with a multitude of disciplines (SW, Mechanical, Physics,
Chemists)



- Designing and supporting electronic systems used within
Linx products, with cost reduction as a focus



- Supporting other Engineers in the department, such as
SW and Mechanical Engineers to deliver the entire system



- Supporting internal processes and continuous
improvements across the department



- Liaising with suppliers on new ideas and technical
issues with new and existing products



- Supporting various departments outside of engineering within
Linx to develop and support product changes. For example PPAP process



- Providing improvements to the Quality of Linx products
by reducing PPM failures by working with the quality department



- Becoming the main champion for Value Add Engineering activities,
to improve cost margins and improve customer requirements



- Creating and delivering high quality reports and
documentation



- Ensuring all product changes adhere to the regulatory
requirements of the products



- Creating and developing tests to ensure product changes
are reliable and fit for purpose



- Working with outside agencies to deliver regulation and
compliance (TuV, EMC etc)



- Actively being involved with Kaizens and workshops to
deliver ideas and suggestions to make savings to the business on product
changes



- Working alongside other Electronics Engineers to share
and develop cross functional knowledge
