Common tasks include: 
  • Providing mission critical support of on-site shared infrastructure (Servers, Network, Telecom, etc.), Laboratory Equipment connected to computers.
  • Performing advanced desk-side support (L1/L2) for users needing help with hardware or software and maintaining records of that support.
  • Conducting testing & validation of new applications, hardware, and systems.
  • Performing system maintenance tasks such as account creation, server backups, and setting up voice and data connections.
  • Creating documentation (installation/configuration documentation, user documentation, etc.)
  • Developing processes and procedures to support new technology initiatives.
  • Participating in business-driven process improvement activities

Job Requirements


The candidate must possess:
  • AA Degree with 3+ years’ experience required working in an IT department or providing IT services
  • Experience supporting systems and applications.  Examples include Windows 10, Windows Server, Microsoft Office, core networking equipment, telephony, and a variety of local and web-based applications such as FileMaker Pro and QuickBooks.
The ideal candidate would also possess:
  • Hardware and/or software technical certifications (A+, MCP, MCSE, etc.)
  • A demonstrated commitment to continued learning and development
  • The ability to conceptualize new and unique solutions to technical problems.
  • An understanding of fundamental business principles (development, finance, accounting, value chain, etc.)
  • Experience working in a heavily regulated industry (Medical, Banking, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with non-technical users.
  • The ability to learn new information and processes quickly and accurately.
  • Dedication to achieve goals and meet commitment dates
