Description

General Description:

Fulfill internal and external customer needs as an E-commerce and New Account Specialist through a high volume of complex electronic requests (averaging 40 - 50 requests a day), while also handling phone requests (averaging 8 - 10 phone calls a day).

The E-commerce and New Account Specialist provides unscripted, customized professional service with the expectation that the Specialist has sole ownership over the resolution within a 24-hour window.

Schedule alternates between 8:00 AM EST - 4:30 PM EST and 8:30 AM EST - 5:00 PM EST depending on business needs Monday through Friday. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Understand, process, and confirm and track delivery on average 30 - 40  customer purchase orders (PO) through various methods of receipt.
  •  Create new accounts in system (averaging 6 - 10 per day)
  •  Maintain and navigate customer e-commerce websites to pull and confirm customer orders
  •  Accurately read and decipher notes in order entry
  •  Follow the escalation procedure for outstanding tasks
  •  Enter error logs as needed for company
  •  Problem solve own errors for root cause and countermeasure
  •  High level of multitasking and prioritizing of complex tasks

 PROVIDE PHONE SUPPORT   

  • Control the phone calls (direction, pace, tone)
  • Diffuse irate callers
  • Place phone orders as needed

Other Responsibilities:

  • Develop and share best practices with team
  • Understand and adapt to change in processes and procedures        
  • Additional duties as assigned

Educational and Experience Requirements:

High school with an Associates Degree preferred; Two to three years business experience; Effective communication skills required. High experience in Microsoft Office.
