Seeking an experienced Electrician I with Single phase and 3-phase, 120/208V,120/240V, 277/480V as well as DC 0-30V, and troubleshooting experience to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand, power, and precision measuring tools. The Electrician I diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. The Electrician I is responsible for the connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules. Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE.

• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures.
• Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state and federal levels.
• Perform safety-related functions and other miscellaneous electrical functions.
• Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power).
• Competent with programming of VFD’s & Controllers.
• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC’s
• Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.
• Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trade workers.
• Perform duties in a work environment that will be hot, cold, and dirty.
• Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed.
• Electrical repair of Blowers, Furnace, Ovens, Pumps, Vacuum Pumps, Air Compressors,
• Air Dryers, RO Systems, Centrifuges and Instrumentation. 

Job Requirements


• Education and Training: High School Graduate or equivalent and completion of an approved apprenticeship program; or equivalent
• Experience: 1 year of post-apprenticeship experience performing duties that include a minimum 12 kV or higher voltage substation construction, equipment maintenance, control and protective system troubleshooting and maintenance in an industrial, utility, and/or manufacturing environment.
• Acceptable Substitutions: Successful completion of the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards electrician certification exam or documented proof of completion of 4000 hours of both course work and experience in all of the areas covered in the State of California. Electrician Apprenticeship Standards may be substituted for completion of a recognized Electrician Apprenticeship program or equivalent. These areas include residential wiring, commercial and industrial wiring, intercom and signals, controls, underground work, trouble shooting, finishing and fixture hanging, solid state controls, and stock and inventory.
• Licensing/Certification: Possession of a valid driver's license authorizing the operation of a motor vehicle in the State of California.
• Troubleshooting: must be able to find the root cause of issues and think logically about solutions.
• Customer Service: work for many different customers and must be friendly when working on and off site.
• Critical Thinking: When diagnosing problems, must think critically in process of repairing the issue.
• Color Vision: must be able to work with colored wiring and must be able to identify them by sight.
• Mechanical Skills: Must read blueprints and schematics and use an array of tools and diagnostic devices to service and install electrical parts.
