We are currently seeking a EHS Coordinator to support our growing business.

Position Objective: 

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a large, dynamic and faced paced global organisation. An opportunity has now become available for an experience Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team in Ilfracombe. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating EHS activities and programme deployment between operational and support functions across the site. As well as coordinating deployment of processes to maintain compliance of all legal, corporate policy, procedures and initiatives. Role and Duties:

  • Coordinate daily management of EHS activities across the site
  • Support activities to maintain the business continuity system.
  • Conduct internal auditing.
  • Maintain standard work to support site operations
  • Act as Coach and Mentor at all levels of the organisation to build a positive and proactive EHS culture.
  • Be a champion of Danaher Business System driving improvements and ensuring sustainment. Be a kaizen/4E facilitator.
  • Site contact for waste management.
  • Facilitate monthly EHS Team meeting
  • Manage, design and deliver training to ensure compliance and build functional competency.
  • Ensure compliance and improvements to Environment, Health, Safety and Business Continuity.
  • Implement and sustain 5S and Kamishibai processes across the Ilfracombe site. 

Job Requirements


Basic Qualifications/ Experience: 

•         Hold a recognised qualifications for the position (min Level 3 & Tech IOSH or AIEMA).

•         Understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety legal requirements.

•         Understands the Requirements of ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO22301

•         Leadership, coaching & mentoring skills

•         Effective Communication skills both written and verbal

•         Ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence others.

•         Time management skills and ability to balance priorities and multiple demands

•         Ability to conduct and manage risk assessment systems

•         Understands the principles visual management, standard work and daily accountability

•         Understands hierarchy of control, leading and lagging indicators.

•         Problem solving skills, can conduct root cause analysis and formal investigations
