Description

  • POSITION SUMMARY:
    This role will be responsible for managing India – Commercial, Institutional and National Disease/Health Programs business activities including the marketing / application support to end customers (Hospitals / Labs / Distributors / Institutional)

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Manage direct and distributor based business to establish strong presence in the Indian diagnostic market
    • Provide adequate marketing and application based support and prioritize and participate in product evaluation, customer meetings, workshops, negotiations, trainings etc to enhance effectiveness of the sales team
    • Create necessary alignment with Customer Support functions – Technical Support, Service etc to create customer delight
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts, government officials so as to enhance awareness and understanding around molecular diagnostics – sensitivity, efficacy etc viz conventional diagnostics methods which in turn provides access of molecular diagnostics solution to all possible patients
    • Develop executable plans where Cepheid products/assays can support National Disease/Health Programs
    • Leverage marketing function using S.M.A.R.T metrics
    • Market mapping, developing short and long term sales & marketing strategies to achieve successfully yearly targets and high double digit year on year growth
    • Engage, develop and motivate the sales organization so as to create high achieving team rooted in collaboration

Qualifications

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Education or Experience (in years):
    • Successful candidate will have a minimum of 14 +years of sales related experience across the Indian market. 4+ years of experience of managing people/teams
    • Must have a strong people management skill and experience in creating and leading high performing teams
    • Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science (Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry) or equivalent industry-related experience required. An undergraduate degree is required, with an MBA preferred
    • Must have experience to Indian market, understands Indian culture and is fluent in English and Indian languages
