Alltec FOBA is one of the international market & technology leaders in the field of development and manufacture of innovative laser marking systems. Since 2004, the company is a technology center for the laser marking part of the Product Identification Platform of Danaher Corporation. Designed and manufactured in the Alltec FOBA products are put through a global network of distribution partners in the market, where they are sold to the key markets of transportation (i.e. automotive and aerospace), medical devices and numerous other industries. As a company with international development and production facilities, ALLTEC Laser Business Unit will continue to expand its leading market position in the future. ALLTEC produces laser marking systems that are sold through the Videojet
channel and has own solutions that are sold through the FOBA brand.
Core Responsibilities
• Plan, develop, and ensure global product portfolio success and sustainable
growth in key markets
• Further develop, refine, and execute the business strategy as member of the
management team; ensure alignment with global company goals and
execution against strategy.
• Provide leadership to the four direct reporting managers and teams
• Partner with peers and the other departments (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Service,
R&D, Operations) to grow long-term profitability
• Further build the organization and processes, recruit and develop talent
• Manage current and develop future product portfolio. Realize timely delivery of
customer specific modifications.
• Increase sales growth by product attractiveness while improving operating
margins. Take action to remain within stated revenue and profitability
objectives
• Provide strategic leadership on product differentiation and USP-based value
selling. Strengthen the positioning as premium player
• Identify and drive breakthrough performance and innovation
• Director Product Management & Engineering is a key player in the
management team of 8 directors, reports to the Managing Director
Experiences and Personal Characteristics
• Multiple years of product management, business development and operational
leadership experience in a dynamic B2B industry with complex products, e.g.
responsibility for a small-sized business unit
• Successful track record in tollgate-structured product and
project management, innovation, R&D roadmaps, and strategies for profitable
growth for technical premium B2B products
• Profound familiarity with customer centric organizations, data driven
systematic market research and customer needs analysis, active marketing
approaches, and strong sales orientation
• Open minded, authentic personality with strong listening skills and ability to
personally connect quickly with people at all levels in the organization
• Superior intellectual horsepower and strong analytical thinker to operate
effectively ahead of the curve, experienced in conceptual thinking and thriving
in process oriented, KPI-driven environments
• Exceptional team building through common objectives and purpose. A strong
team leader who inspires and motivates his/her reports and colleagues to

Education
The successful candidate’s educational background will include a graduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or Engineering. An advanced degree (e.g. MBA) is ideal. Fluency in English and at least advanced language skills in German.
Location
Luebeck (North of Germany, near Baltic Sea), within commuting-distance from Hamburg, Wismar or Schwerin, international travelling required (Europe, North America, China).
