Description


  • Identify customer pain points in collaboration with Application teams and translate into product ideas in collaboration with Leica’s R&D teams

  • Conduct competitor’s product analysis

  • Create Business plans for development projects that translate product ideas into saleable solutions

  • Support the verification and conduct validation of new products along the development process

  • Make new products available for launch

  • Support platform innovation by:


    • align software platform development direction with Industry Strategic targets.

    • drive software ergonomics – fit of SW user interface to Industry specific customer needs

  • Perform overall launch coordination with Regions (software release for customers w/ and w/o PC, dongle, downloads, etc.)

  • Drive quality of software beyond stability

  • Implement new software specific processes on PM side

  • Identify connectivity needs of Leica solutions

  • Provide design input for interface solutions

  • Establish network to outside partners that could support hardware or software development

  • Positon Leica as a driver and goal standard for connectivity

  • Identify VAVE opportunity and create/maintain VAVE funnel

  • Reduce product complexity

Job Requirements



Qualifications


  • Bachelor Degree in life science, bio-informatics, engineering or business administration

  • Preferred: MBA

  • 5-7 years proven experience in Product Management of Digital Solutions in the Measurement or Quality Assurance area

  • Demonstrated success in leading innovation project, launch and commercialization of products

  • Proficient in English and German desirable (spoken & written), other languages (is a plus)
