X-Rite/Pantone, a Danaher company, recognized nationally as one of the “Best & Brightest Companies to Work For” is looking for a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Reporting to our Chief Financial Officer, the Director, FP&A is responsible for leading a global business on planning and analysis. The role partners with Senior Leadership, Regional Business and Finance leaders in providing insightful analytics to support business decisions to drive growth and profitability. The role is also instrumental in defining framework and leading the process for strategic and operation planning, forecast and other investment initiatives.

In your first year in this role you’ll look forward to…
• Rapidly undertaking a timely and accurate Financial Consolidation of Forecasted results utilizing the Company’s Hyperion financial reporting platform
• Obtain 98%+ accuracy in Actual Results versus Forecast by implementing a “standard work” process to gather, verify and report forecast changes
• Complete annual Profit Plan for 2019
• Complete HFM launching

The opportunity: 
• Provide leadership to define, implement and continuously improve global forecasting processes and accuracy for P&L, Balance Sheet, Working Capital and Cash Flow. 
• Analyze regional and country variations from forecasts and prior periods in the context of Danaher corporate commitments and comparative monthly, quarterly and annual performance to identify opportunities and risks with countermeasures to achieve the growth and profitability targets.
• Provide financial leadership in preparing company’s annual Strategic Plan (3 to 5 years) and Profit Plan (1 year) including internal and Danaher corporate requirements.
• Prepare monthly flash reporting, operation review, forecast package and share insight on business and financial performance in areas such as growth rate, margin impact, price increases, channel changes (distributor versus direct), currency fluctuation impacts and exposures, facility rationalizations, creation of regional operating centers, acquisition synergies etc.
• Spearhead HFM project and lead the global roll out of HFM conversion.
• Support diligence in M&A, organic investment analytics and results tracker.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

As an ideal candidate, you will possess: 

• Minimum 10 years of financial planning & analysis experiences, with 5+ years of supervisory experiences

• Experiences in comprehensive P&L and working capital management in a global operation

• Demonstrated track record of delivering reliable, timely and accurate consolidated forecasts and results in a matrixed organization

• Use of financial reporting tools such as Hyperion, Oracle and Excel to improve productivity in providing timely and accurate financial statements

• Strong operating and strategic planning knowledge and experiences

• Ability to lead planning process in a global organization

• Strong analytical ability to identify variations and trends, partnering with business and regional leaders to develop countermeasures

• Highly responsive with sense of urgency to provide high quality deliverables 

• Knowledge of US GAAP and FX impact on consolidation as well Ops impact

• Leadership in a matrix environment 

• International travel required (10%)
