Position Summary:

Provide drawings for opportunities/ proposals with direction from Application Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepares complex layouts of total filtration systems and components and gives consideration to process and marketing parameters, customer specifications, hydraulics, strength of materials, materials compatibility,
  • cost, serviceability and aesthetics, under limited supervision.
  • Prepares P & ID’s and customer/vendor quotation drawings, customer approval/ certified drawings, and detail and shop/fabrication drawings with adherence to PTM drafting standards.
  • Creates preliminary design models and drawings within 2d and 3d cad software platforms, in accordance with the ASME 14.5m standards for drawings. Works with direction but limited supervision.
  • Operates within and in accordance with pall’s configuration management process.
  • Interprets manufacturer’s information and the requirements of applicable standards to create designs with limited supervision.
  • Performs simple troubleshooting and corrective actions on all components with little supervision. 
  • Identify action necessary to correct problems and deficiencies.
  • Has contact with members of other groups associated with (or in support of) the separations systems projects to obtain information required or provide technical support.

Job Requirements


Basic Qualifications:
  • Two-year technical degree with at least 3+ years of experience in a design environment which includes specific experience in electrical, mechanical or control systems design
  • Or 5+ years of experience in a design environment which includes four specific experience in electrical, mechanical or control systems designs. 
  • Effectively utilize AutoCad, Inventor, Vault or other CAD systems.
